Power Cycling M83 Media Player

Often when a media player is malfunctioning, it is in need of a power cycle (being turned off and back on). 

To Power Cycle a M83 Media Player: 

• Remove the power cord from the rear of the device. 
• Press and hold the power button for 7-10 seconds (with the power cord removed). 
• Plug the power cord back in to the rear of the device. 
  • It should power back on automatically. 
  • This can be verified by a green power LED on the top of the device. 
• If it does not power back on, press the red power button on the front of the device for 3-5 seconds. 
  • The blue LED on the top of the device should now be illuminated. 

If The Device Fails To Power On

In the event the device fails to power on automatically, or by using the power button on the front, please try the following steps. 

• Remove the power cord from the rear of the device. 
• Remove any other connected cables such as:
  • HDMI
  • USB
  • Ethernet
• Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (with the power cord removed).
• Plug the power cord back into the device, and wait 3-5 seconds.
  • If it does not power on automatically, press the power button for 3-5 seconds.
• If the device powers on, wait 30 seconds and plug in any other cables that were removed.
