How To Check The Network Status On Samsung Smart Displays (Tizen)
You'll need: A Samsung Remote
- Make sure the display is powered on (Press the red power button on the remote).
- Press the 'Menu' button on the remote.
- Use the arrow buttons to navigate to 'Network'
- Select 'Network Status'
- The display will do a network test.
- If the test fails, take a picture with a smart phone and text the picture to 855-961-0700.
- If the test passes, press the 'Home' button on the remote.
- Navigate to 'URL Launcher' (the first item on the bottom menu)
- Press enter to start the Simply Screens digital signage application.
- Alternate Steps:
- If the network test fails, press the 'Return' button on the remote.
- Go to Network Settings
- If the display is currently set to 'Wireless' - switch it to 'Wired'
- If the display does not have an option for 'Wired' it may mean that the network cable is not connected.
- If the display is currently set to 'Wired'
- Switch the network to 'Wireless'
- Contact Simply Screens or your network administrator for the WiFi network and password.
- Switch the network to 'Wireless'
- Once the network is connected
- Press the 'Home' button on the remote.
- Select 'URL Launcher' from the bottom menu (the first item)
- Press 'Enter' to start the Simply Screens digital signage application.
- If the device does not have a URL Launcher installed, it may be using an external device. Please text Simply Screens Help @ 855-961-0700 for further assistance.
