The time and date need to be set properly on your display to ensure they power on and off at the correct time. This helps extend the life of your display, and save electricity.
Things you will need:
Power on Display and Set The Timers
Before setting the timer, verify that the time and date are set properly.
- Power on display (if it is not already on).
- Press the power button on the Samsung Remote (it is located in the top left corner of the remote).
- Press the 'Home' button on the remote.
- Use the arrow keys to navigate to 'On/Off Timers' (on the menu across the bottom)
- Press the 'Select' or 'Enter' key on the remote (the button at the center of the arrows.
- Select On Timers for setting timers that will turn the Display On.
- Select Off Timers for setting timers that will turn the Display Off.
- For On Timers:
- Select On Timer 1 (or the appropriate timer)
- Setup
- Set the frequency for the timer (Daily, M-F, etc).
- Or set the individual days.
- Set the time for the display to turn On.
- Set the Volume to the desired level (this is the volume that the display will be at when it turns on).
- Set the source for the display to use when turning on.
- For SoC displays running our digital signage application, set the source to be 'URL Launcher'
- Otherwise set the source to the input of the media player.
- Select 'Done'.
- For Off Timers:
- Select Off Timer 1 (or the appropriate timer)
- Setup
- Set the frequency for the timer (Daily, M-F, etc).
- Or set the individual days
- Set the time for the display to turn Off.
- Select 'Done'.
