Connecting Media Players to WiFi

Modified on Mon, 24 Apr, 2023 at 3:14 AM

Things you'll need:

  • Your WiFi SSID (name of network) and WiFi password.
  • A USB keyboard and mouse (wireless is usually easier, but a wired one will work just fine).
  • Physical access to the media player.

It is preferred that Media Players be connected via an Ethernet cable to your network, but sometimes this is not feasible. If you need to connect your media player to WiFi, either for the first time or because you've changed your WiFi details, follow these steps.

  1. Connect your keyboard and mouse to the media player. Any available USB port should work.
  2. Move your mouse to the very top left corner of the screen. (You should see a small blue square highlight around your cursor, then you'll know you're in the right spot).
  3. Click 4 times.
  4. The Settings screen should open.
  5. Click the button labeled 'Exit App'.
  6.
  7. At this point the desktop should load.
  8. If you're media player is running Windows - click the network icon in the system tray.
  9. Select the WiFi you'd like to connect to.
  10. Type in your password and check the box for 'Connect Always'.
  11. Once connected, double click the icon for the 'Juice Player'.
  12. You're media player is now connected.
